LCPL Adam D Peak Scholarship Fund

Wednesday February 22nd- Cincinnati Cyclones Game

LCPL Adam D Peak Scholarship Fund at Thomas More College is in honor of my brother in law, LCPL Adam Peak, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on February 21, 2010.  Every year we have an event at a Cyclones game to support the Scholarship Fund at Thomas More College.  Adam graduated from Thomas More College prior to joining the USMC, so his parents felt it was only right to open a Scholarship Fund in his name at his alma mater.  Adam was killed while on a deployment in Afghanistan.  He stepped on an IED and was killed instantly.  My husband was also serving with him at the time in Afghanistan, but came home safe and has finished his enlistment, so he is now living with us in Northern Kentucky.  Aaron Judd started this event and has been in charge of it for the past three events.  For every ticket purchased from Aaron Judd or me, $5 goes towards the scholarship fund.  The game is on Wednesday February 22, 2012.  You must buy the ticket from one of us in order for the money to go towards the scholarship.

Tickets are also available at Sub Station II in Florence, KY.  Located on Dream Street in Florence, KY.  Tickets are $13 and $5 of each ticket sold goes to the scholarship fund.  Wednesday night's game is $1 beer night and the game is against the Gwinnett Gladiators.  Please come out and support the Cincinnati Cyclones while helping us raise money for the LCPL Adam D Peak Scholarship Fund.

You can send a check for tickets or donation to Aaron Judd at 1430 Creeknoll Ct, Elsmere, KY 41018.  With any questions you can call Aaron at 859-801-1794 or email Aaron at tristateDJ@gmail.com or me, Robyn Peak at robynapeak@gmail.com.

Each year, too many lives are lost to lung disease and this is your chance to climb, raise money and make an impact in their honor. By joining the Fight for Air Climb, you are making the commitment to fight lung disease so everyone can breathe easier- including you! Fight for Air Climbs are unique fundraising events for the American Lung Association. They usually happen in prominent skyscrapers, stadiums or arenas and involve climbing multiple steps and flights of stairs. Sometimes called a "vertical road race", teams and individual participants can use the event as a fitness target, as a race, with you challenging yourself or you racing against other people, or as a great way to be active and meet new friends. Stairclimbs are great cross training events for athletes who cannot train outdoors in the winter. Novice and expert athletes of all ages are welcome to climb. We know a lot about lung disease, but there is so much we don't know. Your participation will raise the funds necessary to provide life saving education, research and advocacy so we can beat lung disease and soon find a cure.
